Trevor Hiscox, known to many in the NDT aerospace industry, has joined the South West School of NDT to support its expanding NDT Level 3 consultancy business. Trevor spent over thirty years at Airbus UK Filton, during which time he undertook several NDT roles, from NDT Manager (Manufacturing) to Level 3 NDT Engineer responsible for auditing and approving suppliers. He also represented Airbus on the Nadcap Task Group and the UK National NDT Board.

In his new role, Hiscox will be assisting the aerospace supplier-base to achieve and maintain Nadcap and CAA compliance.

In addition to over 35 years' experience in the application of NDT to metals and advanced composite materials, Trevor holds Level 3 certification in both PCN for UT, ET, MT, PT and EN 4179 in UT, ET, RT, MT, PT and materials evaluation.

Hiscox is an active member of the BINDT West of England Branch and has served on the BINDT Aerospace and Certification Management committees.

Colin Thomas, director of Engineering services for the MTD Group, is delighted to welcome him to the team as he believes the school's success and expansion so far is based on the quality of its staff and Hiscox will undoubtedly enable his skills and experience to support the further expansion program.

While Hiscox's role will focus primarily on Level 3 support services, his valuable experience is always welcome in the classroom
