The TI-25S ultrasonic wall thickness gage has eight preset and two operator-set velocities. It is designed for organizations that test a few different materials regularly. The device comes pre-programmed with sonic velocities for aluminum 2024, stainless steel 303, steel 4340, cast iron, Plexiglass, PVC, polystyrene and polyurethane. A free software program allows two user-selected velocities to be added. The device has a measuring range of 0.025 inch to 19.999 inches with a resolution of 0.001 inch. It is switch selectable between English or metric units and displays results in inches, inches/microsecond, millimeters and meters/second. In addition, velocities can be changed on the fly, without using computer software.
