Endevco Donates Computer Equipment to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley

San Juan Capistrano, CA -- Eleven flat screen computer monitors donated by Endevco were delivered on Mar. 7 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley (BGCCV).  The new 17-inch flat screens will update and complete the organization’s computer lab and enable kids to fully utilize its technology program.

The Club’s technology programs enables youth to not only become proficient in basic educational disciplines, but it also specifically helps young people with an after school homework program, web design skills, internet research, graphics, presentations, educational games and other creative pursuits.

Endevco has been involved with this local Boys & Girls Clubs chapter for almost nine years, taking part in fundraising efforts and events.  Endevco executives recently toured the club facilities with James Littlejohn, Executive Director of Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley.  While at the facility, Endevco President Scott Silcock observed that 11 computer monitors were still needed to outfit the Technology Center and made a commitment to donate the remaining monitors.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley has been at the forefront of youth development in South Orange County, including Aliso Viejo, Capistrano Beach, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, San Clemente, and San Juan Capistrano. The Clubs provide 1100 kids annually and 250 kids a day with after-school enrichment programs, career development, fun group activities and mentoring programs as well as opportunities that help develop today’s youth for tomorrow’s challenges.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley has partnered with Cox Communications and local law enforcement to introduce the Netsmart program.  NetSmart ensures that all Internet content coming through the Technology Center at the Boys & Girls Clubs is appropriate and safe for kids of all ages. www.endevco.com
